Midnight Sun

I'm considering buying Midnight Sun's "Metal Machine." I've read 2 totally opposite reviews: one praisng, the other scathing. Anyone have any input?

Really depends on what you like. The songs are ridiculous and a bit on the techno side. Some worked for me, others did not.

Same here very techno, not one of my favorite purchases.

If you own Opus Atlantica and like it, it's a decent bet. If you don't own Opus Atlantica, get it before you get any Midnight Sun CDs. Same singer, similar sound, but a little better songs.

It's almost like a joke cd, but it IS quite strong in terms of melody. The themes are cheesy and it's a very different release when compared to the bands other titles. I like it, but it's a guilty, guilty pleasure.
