When you go to the Palladium, please yell at the sound crew and tell them to make sure they have the subwoofers fixed. Last time you guys were there the sound crew was awful and did not have it set up properly - I went to the Nightwish concert tonight and the same problem occurred when Paradise Lost opened for them, but they fixed it before Nightwish came on stage. I'd love to have heard your concert as clearly as I did the one tonight! Please remember that when you're at the Palladium in Worcester, you guys are worth listening to =]

I've been to the Palladium for most of the metal concerts I've been too, so I'm used to the shitty sound. Basically if you don't know the songs by heart of any band you see, you can't discern shit.

God I love Harpos. It is a shithole, but has the best soundsystem for any metal show that I have ever heard for a 2500 person venue.

I am not posting a pic of Powerman 5000, but the stage and the soundsystem. It is loud with huge bass, but extremely clear. I love Harpo's for the sound and the crowd. I would rather piss in an empty beer cup than in the bathrooms there.

The Opeth show there in October of 2005 sounded INCREDIBLE!

My theory for opeth-gigs is, the smaller the area, the better the experience. I saw them at the Sweden Rock Festival a couple of years ago, and i thought that the open area didn´t fit them at all

I've seen Opeth/Nevermore in the Palladium and it was an AWESOME show. I can't remember if the sound was good though. I saw Symphony X there and the sound was shit this summer. Great show, but the sound quality was sooo bad.

How about instead of Opeth playing the Palladium, they play Lupo's in RI like they did the second leg of the GR tour. That was even better than the first one (it could have been because I like the setlist more though).

Harpo's is alright. It always took them a few songs to get the sound right, when I went there. Not to mention, the annoying 7 foot stage.

The Palladium is shitty, but they seemed to fix the sound setup for Nightwish. If they can do it for Nightwish, they can surely do it for Opeth.

+1 on Harpos, I hope the 2008 Opeth show will be there. I fucking hate DTE.

St james theatre auckland, venue wasnt huge and got close to the band great show, also mean fiddler club in london but whoever came up with the raised floor in that place needs shot, i thought i was gonna break my ankle a couple of times, bit of a crap hole really.

Perhaps if you get to the show early enough.. you can yell at the sound crew yourself ffs. :Smug:

P.S. FFS!

are u talking about the same palladium; there are many of them. one of u is in nevada the others are in the new england area.

im from nh so i am familiar with the worcester palladium.....but this guy might be talking about another one. the worcester one isnt THAT bad, come on guys.,

Yes, it is the Worcester one, and yes it is that bad. Lupo's in RI was a much better concert even though I had to drive 3 hours through a snow storm to get there (I'm from NH, too).

Yeah, I did the same. Much better sound. And yes, the Palladium is that bad. Very muffled sounding.
