I tuned into the pilot episode of Supernatural on Monday night and was distinctly underwhelmed. Same old rehashed X-Files formula with characters that are about a third as interesting. I'll give it a few more weeks to see if it improves but I don't think it'll last long in any case. "Next big thing" my arse :bah:.

After nearly three years, ABC's Doctor Who repeats will end on February 3rd. It's been a good, if not complete, run and I've enjoyed it immensely. Thank the gods I have DVDs of last year's new series and a very unofficial copy of The Christmas Invasion to tide me over until we get Season 2 :).

My Family is back on :headbang:. It's not like I need another reason to stay home on Saturday nights, but this is as good as any.

As Time Goes By! Reunion Specials! Four of them! In a row! Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer are perhaps my favourite sitcom couple, and their performances alone have convinced me not even to contemplate marriage until I'm in my mid-sixties.

I know Coupling is good. Steven (Press Gang) Moffat wrote it after all, but for some reason I can never be bothered staying up to watch it. Are the ones they're showing now out on DVD yet?

Millennium Season 3 will be released on February 3rd. After eight long years I'll finally get to see how the damn series ends, no thanks to Channel 7 and their endless football panels.

I should really be watching the second series of Carnivale (where can you go wrong combining circus freaks and the apocalypse?) but as I haven't seen the first one I don't think it would make much sense. Has anyone watched this and is it as trippy as they make it look in the promos?

I thought supernatural was pretty cool actually. Add to the fact they played 2 ac/dc songs in the first episode and mentioned motorhead and black sabbath, this gets my thumbs up! heh.

I watch Carnivalle, mythbusters, and the 4.30 news (well no mythbusters, and top gear is pretty good).

I want to be a mythbuster.

It's funny how shows finally make it out here. I watched Top Gear in England about 9 years ago. Jeremy Clarkson is tops.

Naomi Robson is a fucking holier-than-thou ho.

I rarely watch anything that's not on SBS or ABC, as it's usually complete shit. News and sport are about the only exceptions.

How'd your tv blow up, serenesorrow?!

No more Doctor Who at 6pm anymore. My life will be as empty as it was 3 years ago. Although I'll have a lot more time on the weekends, and I'll be able to get rid of the tape that I tape them all on. I think it's getting a little bit sick.

I've gotta say though, this is first time I've ever seen Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor, and I'm not really all that keen on him. The magic was certainly waning. Eccleston brought it back in spades, and if the Christmas Invasion is anything to go by, Tennant is going to keep it going quite admirably, I think.

McCoy's first season was well dodgy, as Ace would say. Paradise Towers was the only story out of that lot to show any potential, and even that was overlit and badly acted.

His second season highlight was Remembrance of the Daleks, which of course the ABC didn't show. I'm also quite fond of The Happiness Patrol and The Greatest Show In The Galaxy, but Silver Nemesis (the Cybermen one that's on now) is a disgrace.

Season 26, however, is the bee's knees, the cat's pyjamas and the dog's bollocks all rolled into one. Be prepared to watch Ghost Light at least three times before it makes anything close to sense though.

Eccleston rocked, the new guy Tennant seems ok. I thought the Christmas special was way lame.. just plain dumb.

Lost Season 2 is very good imho.

Bring on new series of Top Gear... 6 episodes wasn't enough :)

Mythbusters rocks as well... smokin!!! (lol)

Do you know why? Just to get the series over in time? I was quite looking forward to this one. Indeed, I actually went out to buy this one a while ago, but ended up with Resurrection Of The Daleks by mistake. (Stupid silver wrap-around boxes with no information on them.)

McCoy *seems* to be getting better, I must say. He just seemed like a clown to begin with, but he seems to be getting darker, and as everyone knows, the Doctor needs a dark side bubbling just below the surface.

The official version is that Terry Nation's estate owns the rights to the Daleks and won't allow any Dalek stories to be shown unless Tez wrote them. This was also the reason why there weren't going to be any Daleks in the new series initially, but they've since resolved all the legal dramas and now the ABC is just being pedantic in case they change their minds.

Yes Top Gear is a great show stumbled accross it last week, last night show was pretty good , Also watched Waking the Dead last night really enjoyed it as well, like my British dramas.

Is any one into The Bill, I just can't seem to keep my interest into it now, how many time can you blow up a Police Station.

Once a year apparently . I still watch The Bill religiously, but am missing some of my favourite characters. Come back Debbie McAllister, all is forgiven!

Waking The Dead is one of those series I would probably like but never seem to get around to. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel comfortable watching British shows on any channel but the ABC. Midsomer Murders with ads every five minutes? No thanks.

Yes and it does seem strange to watch a British show on anything but the ABC cause yes the Ads are a pain it finished at 11.00 way past my bed time
