I don't watch much American stuff either. That's partly because a lot of it is on commercial tv, and I generally can't be fucked watching anything with ads.

One of the few good things to come out of the US tv and movie wise is Napoleon Dynamite, am I right or what

I watched Napolian Dynamite before I had even heard anyone talk about it's greatness. When I watched it I thought it was shit and one of the worst movies I ever sat through.... I stand by my assessment.

Apart from Arrested Development, that is a good list.

I also watched 6 Feet Under until it finished, and I do watch Veronica Mars, which is very Americanized and often silly, but no different to Buffy.

Arrested Development is excellent! I spent most of the weekend watching the first season on DVD!

And yes, I too am in love with Veronica Mars.

Much as I enjoyed Angel, David Boreanaz alone isn't enough to get me watching this. Originally I wasn't going to bother with it, then I found out based (very loosely) on books by Kathy Reichs, the new queen of American slice n' dice forensic fiction.

Are the other Doctor Who watchers here looking forward to the Torchwood spinoff series? Does anyone apart from me (and Phloggy) even know it exists? It starts on BBC3 in October and I'll be downloading the first few at least.

Torchwood? hmmm, dunno... I just saw episode 4 of the current series of DoctorWho that was pretty cool. Episode 5 sees the Cybermen return, booyah!
