Miss America, should evolution be tought in school?

I wonder if acne girl knows that if she would stop caking crap on her face, her acne would probably go away.

Not to be curt but that's a bit broscience if anything, it's a bit like saying if you stop eating chocolate your skin will clear up (if only).

funny story... I stopped eating candy, chocolate and all other fatty and sugary shit for 5 months... lost 20kg and it was the most acne free 5 months in my adult life time.

More to do with the weight loss and exercise associated with it than the food. I've gone through (and am currently going through) the same thing.

But yeah, the makeup isn't what's causing acne that severe. That's hereditary and is probably a skin condition in addition to acne. The huge one on her forehead is closer in structure to a boil or cyst than it is to a zit.

Also saturated fat is essential to testosterone production, so if you cut out a lot of it your diet then testosterone and your bodies natural steroid and growth production will slow down, large and sudden calorific deficits also have the same effect as well as prolonged cardiovascular exercise, all of these mean less testosterone and less testosterone means less skin problems.

There is an argument that items that are high GI in nature (ie processed and sugary foods) will spike insulin and blood sugar levels and cause acne but anecdotally I've been on low GI diets for months and never noticed a single change in my skin.

Heavy lifting and eating appropriate saturated fats (although not unhealthy) can have the exact opposite effect and increase testosterone levels.

Isn't a vast amount of cholesterol produced from saturated fat in the liver? At any rate there is a fairly direct correlation between saturated fats and cholesterol levels which in turn effect hormone regulation, although I never implied it was a 1:1 ratio but if you cut a lot of fat from your diet then many studies have found your testosterone levels to drop.

Animals synthesize cholesterol as well as saturated fat, unlike plants that synthesize ergosterol, lanosterol and unsaturated fatty acids. Cholesterol is synthesized in liver by a series of reactions that are independent from fatty acids (they serve as fuel only).

So, whatever this is biochemistry bullshit

If you eat a lot of animal fat you will get both saturated fats and cholesterol, so watch out your meals!
