The miking was done by my brother, I hate doing that, only like mixing etc.
I recorded the vocals myself since I`m the singer.
It's Slipknot, Devildriver like vocals, not for he old-school fans.

guitars 6506, drums are at least 10 old yamaha stage custom, bass is DI (we couldn't find a good amp :bah:)

you can check out 2 more songs in player ( songs 1 to 3 the rest are old ) on http://www.tiarah.com

This is a really good mix. I agree about guitars being a tad overpowering and I think I hear clipping. But this is an awesome mix! Good work.

Edit: Just checked your band's website. I dig the music. Not really a fan of this sorta stuff usually but I like.

In which part do you hear clipping?

I dig those guitars big time, but they are a bit harsh.
More bass would be good.
Kick is inaudible imo.
Clipping, yep.

After listening to it for a while the mix is generally a bit too bright for my tastes.
But cool work overall man, very nice!

Yeah, I wanted a bright mix, guitars are harsh, just used the amp and one of the guitars had a buzz on, but I figured I won't filter it.
The kick is acoustic, as recorded, no trigger cos I wanted to leave it dynamic so some parts of the song pump and some don't.
The clipping may be cos I made the mp3 directly from 24 88 and not from the 16 44 wav

holy shit man, where did you do the drums?! they sound massive....

these are all real drums ?

Thanx man, yes these are real drums. The drumset itself was massive as hell and the drummer was really beating it like crazy, that's why it's so dynamic.
I was introduced to C4 so I tweaked it a little and the rest is just standard.
