The birthplace of bands like Iced Earth, Jag Panzer, Deicide, and Seven Kingdoms was robbed this past weekend. TONS of iMacs, Rack Gear, Protools Rigs, And Gear was taken. This is a Horrendous and very tragic thing.

If there is anything you can do to at least spread the word or help please do so... We or any of these bands would not be anywhere near the place we are had it not been for these guys.

Pix up of the devastation on their facebook..

By the looks of the amount of gear that was taken, it was several people for several hours. Taking all of that gear out of the racks takes time, this wasn't a "smash and grab".

This is really sad news, as several of my favourite albums of all time have come from Morrisound.

A more terrible event could not happen to better people. I have worked with Jim Morris since 1990, and it makes this crime even harder to swallow knowing the incredible integrity and character of Jim and his brother, Tom.

There is someone , somewhere who knows the culprits involved in this crime. It is early, so hopefully information will be presented soon...we only hope.

House/Apt. fires suck for musicians/music fans. My friend had an apt. fire and lost a 2000-dollar Martin acoustic. Not as bad as 25,000 worth of gear, but still devastating. I wouldn't know what to do....

stuff like this turns my stomach. People who steal are literally some of the worst people around. Hopefully if they try to resell stuff, someone can keep an eye out to catch these guys.

While I think that's bad, I'd think breaking into a building and physically stealing easily tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff that could very well be irreplaceable is slightly worse than The End Records grossing $300,000 instead of $500,000 this month because of pirates man. You're dealing with hyperbolic predictions and numbers and "what could have been" versus some jerks that actually cause malicious harm and physically steal things. That said, I do think it's an interesting comparison.

Nobody deserves this shit. Horrible. I agree with Diabolik. Hope they catch the thief via selling the gear online or something.

I just drove by there at lunch. Morrisound has always been in a quiet little location on the side of Fowler and 56th St where there's less traffic. Too bad the Temple Terrace police weren't around. Probably writing traffic violations as they're the worst.

Wow, that blows. It had to have been someone in the business who knew their setup and the value of their equipment. This part of the theft appears personal:

"They also took two platinum records (the soundtrack to the movie "The Crow" and TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA's "Christmas Eve") and a gold record (ICED EARTH's "Live in Athens") awarded to the company."

They can't actually sell those, so that had to be for personal pleasure/injury.
