Most comfortable 7 string neck ?

I know it's personal preference

While this would be my response had you not made note of it already - I can only speak for myself, but with my generally small hands I find that for seven strings I've always liked the feel of Ibanez necks. My guitar instructor had one of the earlier Vai seven strings and the neck profile worked really well for my small hands.

But once again - in the end I'm unsure how my preference has any play on yours - but that's just me.

Jackson DX7 has the perfect shape. But the wood is slightly sticky, so it's a bit harder to move than on my Schecter 007 Blackjack. If there was a combination of both - the shape of DX7 and the wood/lacquer of the 007, it would be perfect.

Schecter Blackjack ATX - I have the C7 regular one, but a friend of mine got himself the ATX - IMO that's perfect! The older C7s tend to be a bit thick, but I've got large hands so mostly that's ok. Does cause a bit of fatigue though. The new ATX necks are friggin awesome! A friend of mine has the loomis, and the atx and the loomis necks are supposed to be the same, but that matte finish and the maple fretboard just ruins the entire feel for me.

But like you said, it's a personal thing - mostly depending on the size of your hands and how manly you are :D

I love the size and thickness of my current JP7 BFR neck, but I hate the fucking painted finish.

I loved the tung oil finished Carvin that I used to have, but it was a little too chunky.

I don't know if I'll ever find the perfect neck, perfect gutar, etc.

I like both Ibanez and Schecter necks. Well the Wizard I 7 string necks, the Wizard II 7 string necks are meh.
They're thicker than their 6 string brothers, which I like, because the Wizard I 6 string necks are too thin for my liking, whereas the 7 string necks are kinda just right.

I'm a rhythm player, so the Loomis 7 tickles my fancy. Nice and chunky but smooth enough so that you can slide easily.

I've only played 4-5 guitars (ibanez, schecter, carvin) and while different I can't say I find any of them uncomfortable. I never understood people whining about necks. Maybe I have big hands.

Some people are just picky and some people genuinely get problems with hand cramping with necks that are too thick/too thin/not thin enough/not thick enough etc.
Nothing hard to understand about that.

I understand the reasons they're complaining about, I'm just saying that I don't see the difference between necks as that important, at least based on the guitars I've played. Like I said, maybe it's because of my hands.
