Christianity created 'satan'. To appose christanity would mean to choose the the opposite of good. Christians use satan/hell as plan b.

I totally disagree. I don't see how you could tell someone to listen to music that is against their own beleifs. I would find it very strange for someone who is Christian to listen to Dark Funeral or something everyday, just as it would be strange for someone who is a supposed "Satanist" to listen to Christian Rock. Also I find it pretty mindblowing how someone could ONLY judge music by "talent", if thats the only basis of judging music, than why not do away with the whole metal genre then. And we could all listen to Steve Vai, or Classical Music, or Opera... Than we could get rid of the "metal" genre and only listen to mindnumbing music made by only the most talented musicians regardless of what message they are trying to convey.

It is perfectly acceptable to listen to music based on ideology, or principles, AS WELL as talent, or technical skill. That is why everyone has their own tastes in music.

I listen to grindcore, and a lot of grind has real left-wing, pro-feminist, anti-racist and anti-homophobic lyrics and themes.

ironically enough, I consider myself quite right-leaning and conservative.

Ideology is rarely a factor in the bands I choose to listen to. As for me, I am against organized religion and do not associate myself with any specific political categorization.
If you listen to only metal there is not much political rhetoric to agree/disagree with. So I wouldn't really care about the political stance of a band, but I would consider the message in the music and the lifestyle of the musicians.

Mithotyn - Great band
Mistur - Windir Rip-off
Cor Scorpii - Windir Lookalike
Ulcus - Quite good and also a bit interesting since its the band that became the permanent addition to Windir around 1184

Slagmark
Dark Moor
Steinherj
Elite
Corvus Corax (Germany)
Potentia Amini (unsure about the spelling)

he means "hurr satan worship is a sect of christianity hurr"

I wasn't doing a redneck chuckle when I posted that, first of all.
Now, to explain myself, "black magic" satanism, which is the type of satanism practiced by Gelnn Benton (primary lyricist and frontman of Deicide) was actually created by the Catholic church during the Inquisition to incite parishioners against paganism, so in a indirect sense, Deicide is Christian. True story.

I really like the two Korpse albums I have - they were some psychadelic death band with doomy bits. Great stuff for the time, actually. I bought one of their albums for £1 from Virgin megastores, new, at the same time I bought The Blood Divine - Awaken book edition for £2.

because being tolerant of race, sexual preference, and gender is a left-wing thing? :erk: sad, sad way to look at things, and probably helps explain the fucked up state of the world and especially the US, but whatever

anyway, anyone heard of The Fucking Champs? i guess that'd be mine

I don't see a problem with being racially conscious and being a misogynist (most women are bitches).
