I used to like growing my beard out when it was still a new ability for me, but now I find it kind of annoying. I participated in Octobeard though and that was enough for me. Here are the pictures from it.

Also, this is probably the most entertaining thing I've done with my facial hair within the past two years other than just let it grow. November 08, 2006. I didn't realize it was that long ago, haha.

And here's one from December, 2003.

I've had a goatee for five years

however, I did gladly take part in No Shave November/Novembeard...fun times

I've had a goatee since 1992. Shaved it a couple of times, but always grow it back straight away. I've had long sideburns since 96. Once you've settled into a facial hair pattern you feel suits you it's hard to go back to clean shaven. I feel all wrong without a goatee. See here:

Blackmetalwhiteguy, you should keep your full faced beard. Looks cool
Thanks, but it's still not dense enough to really qualify as a full "beard" yet in my opinion, so it just ends up looking dirty and itching most of the time. I prefer to keep it between stubble and picture two, so that the inconsistency isn't as noticable.
Pic 4 was the best.
Haha, I think so too, even though I only did it as a joke. My then girlfriend followed me into the bathroom and wanted to know if she could help me shave and ended up just shaving a line down my cheek, so I decided to keep it like that

I can't grow much of a moustache yet. I can't decide whether I should just leave it be and it will grow slowly with time, or I should keep shaving it in hopes that it will grow back thicker and/or faster. I'm still not sure if the latter option works. Does it?

And having light-colored hair doesn't help.

BlackMetalWhiteGuy grows hair faster than anyone I know. It takes me more than a month to grow a full beard when it took him probably less than 4 weeks.

I have a soul patch, that is about the only facial hair I can grow properly. I would probably have a goatee if I could grow one but genetics is a cruel mistress.

I also have something of a soul patch. I used to have it all one width from the lower lip down, now I have it narrower below the lower lip (maybe 3/4"-1") and wider (2"?) starting right below that at the top of the chin, and it's about 2" long below the chin. I also have sideburns that go to my jaw-line. They are sometimes mutton chops, and sometimes like triangles.

I dislike moustaches and will probably never grow one. Besides, mine is blonde and looks weird.
