MP3 Splitter/ Cutter and such

Anybody know of a free Mp3 program I can download? I need something that can cut the last 5 secs off an mp3, so the remaining part can be looped. It can't be looped as it is now, as the last 5 secs are dead silence.

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

i don't know of one but i need one. when i used apple computers such editting was built into the OS (and this was 10 years ago), but i've been stuck in pc land ever since because i'm a cheap fucking bastard.

just track down a free trial version from their site or something...

but then again, its now owned by Adobe last I've heard and I haven't used any of the new versions, so I can't vouch for its quality, or even if they have a worthwhile free trial these days

I use adobe audition for mixing now (used to use vegas)
its pretty cool
you can download a trial...... I wont use the word crack, its a dirty word

sound forge is probably the best thing to use but I think you have to buy a plug in for saving out mp3s after x amount of uses....fucking silly
