OK, my current music library is being handled by Windows Media Player right now, and it likes to duplicate all the songs in my collection - and it's starting to annoy me.

Is there something (free) you guys and gals use out there that you really like?

I like iTunes. I didn't at first, since the defaults kind of suck. However if you take the time to set up options the way you want it's a very good program.

I use itunes to organize even though I don't use it to play files usually unless it's a podcast.

I just bought my very first ipod (the actual brand, not generic MP3 player) and so got itunes to go along with it. For the most part, I like it - other than the fact that it's very bad at matching some cover art. When I ripped my two Ark CDs to get them on my ipod, and told itunes to get the album artwork, the Burn the Sun cover comes back properly, but the cover for Ark (s/t) comes back as some lame-o cover from a different band called "The Ark". And if I delete the cover art, it just comes right back the next time I select download artwork for another group.

Oh, and the cover for D.C. Cooper's solo album comes back as a country / western cover from some dude named Tim Cooper. Poor DC.

A program I would like to find is one that finds song names etc when itunes cant find it. Some of the albums I know arent recognized because I burned them or the songs are ripped in the wrong order, but others I know for a fact are in order and it takes forever to edit song names on itunes.
