1 - maybe some early day Swans

2 - And not scary, but I think Bob Drake would also suit halloween really well.

1 - The seaside is the best place for that.

2 - His family are good at writing chilling soundtracks. Nick Drake will scare almost anyone.

Disclaimer: I hate Metallica probably more than anyone here. It's just that everyone seems to love Metallica and it's very sad.

I find joy in bringing up St. Anger to Metallica fans.

wasnt scary for shit :erk: plain boring though, it was

Alas, the marriage between environment, frame of mind, and music is lost yet again on another victim. Oh well. Most things people reccomended wouldn't make me bat an eyelid if, say, i heard it alone somewhere i'm not used to being at night. Different kinds of scary, i chose the kind which actually HAS some kind of effect that's different if you hear it somewhere besides beside your bag of chips while you look at porn and talk about poo on the internet. I suppose if you're impatient and have no imagination it would be very boring, indeed.

so youre still on this fucking pathetic kick huh

"anybody who doesnt like my shitty, glorified mixes must be dumb!"

nope, i just don't think anyone around here has spent as much time thinking about this particular subject as I have. Of course, I could just be dumb and it takes me 4 years of continuous exploration to come up with a ton of stuff way less interesting and "scary" as your average metalhead who is still unsure music exists outside of guitars. I suppose that is the more likely scenario.
