here's a pic of the hacker-pschorr tent, one of the seven or so major breweries in Munich.

it was a tradition in my school to steal as many of those mugs as possible. people would climb aboard the streetcars and they would be clanking.

also, freshman initiation was being obliged to chug one of those mugs. and fest beir is pretty strong.
