I completely agree. The notion that people are getting into petty arguments when somebody has just killed himself is absolutely absurd and childish. Yes, this is a message board, but Mike is a real person, regardless of whether or not we have met him.
Rest in peace Mike. You will be missed.

This is very sad. I didn't know him, but I always liked to read his posts. My thoughts go out to all his friends & family.

I saved these when Mike/Tempest attempted to be the "Self-proclaimed ruler of the Neverboard"..and was royally pwned by Karmic
It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the forum, and it still makes me laugh.

Fuck, i don't come to this board often but i was here yesterday and i read his post in the straightedger thread about letting people do what they want unless it affects others and agreed completely. I'm sorry Will for your loss, i hope this won't be too difficult for you. I don't know what to say to be honest.

wow, can't believe it was the same mike that posted on the board, i assumed it was another mike as it is a very common name... i don't really know what to say now. some wise words have been said and some people need to get their head out of their ass and into reality.

Devy, just so you know, many of us had met mike in person, including myself and frets. None of us knew him as well as Will obviously, but some at least knew him a little more than others. I cant say I had an abundance of contact with mike, but he was a cool guy and it's a damn shame when things like this occur.

man, that sucks. 2 of my best friends died in the past 3 years, one fell off a fire escape, the other..his little sister died last year of a amphetamine overdose. Tragic times, stay strong!

I didn't even realize at first that it was bank robbery Mike. And I've been thinking about it all day since I saw the post this morning. I didn't know Mike personally except through his posting here, but once again I am sorry to everyone he was close to, and to his family. Rest in peace Mike.

Damn. My condolences. I don't post here a whole lot and haven't been here a very long time, but in all honesty, he was probably the forum personality here that I enjoyed the most. What a shame.
Not that I've ever seriously contemplated suicide before, but I've thought about it. And thinking about how it would affect the people I know and love is more than justification in not doing it, no matter how bad my life seems like it may be. I can't imagine his despair if he was depressed past that point. So sad to hear about things like this.
In regards to how some people have acted in this thread, it's downright nauseating and appalling. But, with that being said, Mike strikes me as the kind of guy who would have a laugh about it at your expense, and that's what makes him such a good poster; and I'm sure an awesome person to those who knew him well.
