May not be a big thing to most but it's an accomplishment for me lol
Deforce - Step To Nothing
I did a mix/master of one of the Deforce songs from the multitracks thread on my new monitors and I wanted to see what everyone else thought of it. To me, it doesn't sound like it's overcompressed but it's hard for me to judge cause I can only hear pumping when it's very extreme. Let me know what you think of the mix too, I was going for an oldschool Korn self titled/life is peachy kind of sound.
I used a lot of subtractive EQ during the mix and then later boosted what was lacking on the master bus. The kick was the only thing I replaced on the drums...I blended the despised Icon kick with the original subkick in the multitracks. I fear it may be a little loud.
