This is my first recording I've done not for me, did it for free (altho the vocalist sung on two of my songs so I think its fair). Drums are all real, editing was a PITA. Snare is 100% natural, toms were replaced with the kit's samples cos my mics are fucked (don't ask), kick is RedKick from here. Was a Pearl Vision kit, nice toms, alright snare, kick was meh, cymbals were ZBT :Puke: but a nice A Custom.

Still some automation issues to be taken care of, some drum edits didn't work, and the backing vocals are too upfront (I bounced them cos my computer is shitting itself with 4 amp sims running plus a bunch of other plugs, etc.), but the mix is mostly there I think.

Probly should have mentioned that its not exactly the kind of music we usually get around here but I thought this title would attract more attention XD

dropbox is still loading, if link doesnt work wait a few mins.

hey whats that vocal mic? great job! i like it! specialy vocal and guitars! all best mate!

hey i like the sound of vocals, but i think i prefer first version but its just me... any melodyne and stuff on vocals? it sounds like it...
vocals are great for me though x) :) nice song too! its like VAN MORRISON and some I WILL SURVIVE song or something x) :) all best mate

very good mix !
i love the natural drumssound.

the only that pops into my ear is the heavy tuning of the vocals,
maybe its a little too much. i feel that this style would benefit from a more loose , less "autotuny" vocal work,
adds back the realism.
maybe the solo guitar could need some meldoyne on some spots instead, hehe.

nice to hear some non metal !

Thanks a lot guys.

Yeah, I kinda agree but with the amount of doubling and harmonies there are going on its kinda hard. Any particular spots? The last chorus is really autotuned because its 2 vocals at once, edited really tightly.

Yeah.. old strings ftl. I already did autotune a few notes but I think I need to do a few more. And fix the timing on one of the runs.

The snare is a little dry for my taste and has this slight tubbiness. None of the drums really SING on the recording. They still sound good. The tuning isn't bad, don't worry. Add some more verb to the vocals.
