Oh yeah and in regards to drunkies specifically, they just put in a new rail line that goes through Deep Ellum where all the clubs are. Runs til at least 2 AM on the weekends, and starts back up at 4 AM. So either one of two things could happen: drunks will step out of the club, get on the train, and not be in their car. Or drunks will step out of the club, get hit by the train, and not be in their car.

^ something tells me I would prefer the Dallas drunks to do the latter.

The drunks coming from the clubs consist of your usual white/black/asian mix of 20 something airheads & Guidos who shop at Abercrombie, H&M, and Express. Oddly, the Mexicans stay out of downtown. You've got your occasional drunk hobo on the street but there aren't a whole lot of them anymore.

Drunk Drivers are morons who get off hurting people. most of the time when they need be in jail longer.

I really doubt that malice is behind most cases like this - incompetence is a far more common cause.
