My haulage.

I haven't heard the debut. I think Happenstance is a bit dodgy though.... the production really sucks (waaaaaaaay too stiff), and his voice only works on some songs. Big City Nights, Balls To The Wall and a couple of others sound really good with that production and his vocals are good....

But "LOVE Machine" ... oh my god, words can't describe how much they BUTCHERED that song. And a few others like Freewheel Burnin' etc just sound too stiff.

The originals are better than the covers (with the exception of Big City Nights and Balls To The Wall).
I see what you mean there, but I still think 'Freewheel Burnin' is awesome, and 'LOVE Machine' is pretty good too. The vocals are a bit stiff on Happenstance, his vocal performance on the debut is MUCH better....more consistent and smoother for sure. From the debut, Motley Crue's 'Live Wire', Twisted Sister's 'Stay Hungry', and Motorhead's 'Eat the Rich' are all awesome, and better than the originals, with Dio's 'Stand Up And Shout', Ozzy's 'Over The Mountain' and Priest's 'Riding On The Wind'
being great covers which stand up to the originals well. The cover of Maiden's 'The Prisoner' is pretty good too, and their originals are great, and that is pretty much the whole album.

I don't think any cover of "Live Wire" could beat the original to be honest. That song MUST be a really raw attitude rocker with Vince snarling the vocals. It has to sound like its come straight off the streets of Hollywood in the early '80s by 4 rock & roll bad boys on the prowl for some action haha.

I can imagine Stay Hungry, Riding On The Wind and Stand Up & Shout sounding really cool... and The Prisoner too.

I must agree with what is being said. Happenstance is average, but Fozzy's self titled release kicks ass.

They whole album is pretty damn fine. It's one of the few albums in my car (can't be bothered putting much to tape)

Is good!

I've only listened to it once so far, so I can't really make a judgement. So far however, it has neither impressed me nor disappointed - and if history is anything to go by, a feeling of indifference as a first impression usually equates to excellentayness within a few weeks.

Yes, I didn't care much for The Perfect Elephant at first but it grew on me. I don't think I've actually listened to the whole thing more than once because it feels like it goes for three hours, but the first half is great. :)

So is the second half.... but you knew I'd say that :)

The last song is one of my favorites... So much emotion. Infact, I am going to put it on right now!

IMO, it is equal with Remedy Lane. I dont know which one I like better cause both are fanfuckintastic!
