So I just got my Krank today and I would like to give to a review.

I plugged in my ESP Eclipse II with EMG 81's and kick on the lead channel. My first impression is that this amp has BALLS. Very thick, but not muddy at all. I likey. But when I start playing some more I notice its getting to sound very nasally. I turn the sweep nob down to about 2. Ahhh, there we go. Looks like that sweep nob is going to be moving anytime soon. Another thing I notice is that this amp is LOUD! It has no bass whatsoever if between 0 and 1, which is bedroom level (at least mine, since my neighbors are assholes). I get over that issue, and crank it up so more (no pun intended!). This is basically the same way as it is on an Uberschall, you have to light on the bass. You need to nail it to 7-10. Same with the treble, but that knob actually is a lot more useful in tone shaping. The mids sound great low or high, just matters what sound you want to go for. I LOVE the Kleen channel. It is probably one of the best on any hi gain amp Ive played. Very warm, and smooth. Are you can make it sound twangy and get that bluesy sound.

Overall, a great amp. I think I will be very happy with my choice. Not as versatile as the Mark IV, but does what is does well.

I have liked mine a lot more in the past week since putting the castors back on the cab and getting it off the floor, much tighter and less woof (I thought carpet over a concrete slab wouldn't do much to increase the bass, I was VERY wrong) . Moral to the story, keep the castors on your cab. Oh yeah, and buy a Maxon 808.:headbang:
