I just killed my Krank!! (rev jr)

damn. ...I'm doing that all the time...have been lucky so far though.
worst case : you've blown your OT (that would really suck), best case: just a fuse

Haha shit, okay it wouldn´t be THE doomsday for me, cause this small bastard wasn´t really my primary choice anyway. Nevertheless, my stupidity linked with this bad luck, just fucking hurts :Smug:

Anyway, really sorry to hear about it, hope you get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg!

Thanks Jarkko, yeah I hope I can pay it with a leg, rather than my arm

If it costs too much to fix I am interested in buying it as it is. But really hope you fix it.

Really? That sounds interesting for me..(for the worst case) Are you a repairing guy or something like that? :)

Felix, I like messing with shit. I've build a few amps, and repaired a couple for some buddies, but it is just for fun. And since i have no urgency to use a new amp, I'd take it and fix it when i want. If i lived in the US or Europe where things are way cheaper, I'd be way more into this.

Ah yeah, I hear ya. Where do you live, dude? Sending you my amp could be an option for me.

Brazil eheh I'd just have to find a way to ship it over here. How much does this thing weight, around 15kg?

Oh man, sucks! :erk:

That almost happened to my Rev Jr too, when our other guitarist just pulled my speaker cable to use it for his amp without putting it back later on or at least notifying me.

I really hope it's just an internal fuse on yours! Better take it to a qualified amp tech!

Aaaargh how could he!! :zombie: All this technical musician cable shit & gear is nothing more than traps :D That sucks!

I will bring it to an amp technician linked with a costs estimate request. When it´s too expensive, I gladly sell it to jangoux.

Tsk Felix

James, I don´t get it - explain please

Nah, happens to everyone at least once! :D And at least you aren't the dude that plugged his JCM800's speaker out to his computer's integrated sound card's line in... He got that big BOOM.

Anyway, really sorry to hear about it, hope you get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg!

Oh damn!! I once ran my Mark IV speaker out into my buddies dads old reel-to-reel by accident, while trying to run the Recording Out....OOPS!! Fried that fucking thing.

How long did you leave it on? I've done that several times with no damage. Never more than a few seconds though.

on one of my concerts some punkguy from another band just wanted to use my 6505 (WITHOUT ASKING). I walked into the concert room and my amp was running. of course not connected to the cab because this asshole used another amp.

"are you using my amp or the other one because both are running?"
"the other one"
"fuck, turn mine off!"
"it's okay, it's no problem to leave it on!"

yeah of course its not if it's one of your fucking transistor amps. in the end my amp was running without beeing connected to a cab for 45 minutes. no damage. pheeew.
