I am staying away from all this stock stuff, just don't know enough--i'll stick with my union's TDA--but I did have fun playing online poker back in the early 2000's --party poker, full tilt, poker stars etc. sit and gows and low level NL for the win :kickass:If you were disciplined you could definitely grind out a supplemental income at least in those first few years.

It's a weird thing man. I mean for years everyone talks about how malls are dying, online shopping is the future, etc. And the shopping center near me has grown to gargantuan proportion, doubling in size over the last 5 years, right across the street from a massive Amazon warehouse. Those parking lots are filled constantly, especially during Xmas, including even the 2020 season when California was on lockdown.

I mean I don't get it either, I've been buying almost everything online I can since about 1997. But I got a cool $225 riding on Macy's so let's see if this nets me $20 profit or if I lose it all in the inevitable bankruptcy of every brick and/or mortar store in the world by 2022.

I did a bit of volume back in 2016-2018, cash game, DoN and tournament sessions on week-ends. I was up ca. €2000 on Winamax and PS (cumulated), which is laughable but still better than being a serial broke player like so many guys I've met through poker were. Some were arguably way more skilled but lacked discipline and spewed shittons on kamikaze moves. Anyway I haven't played much lately. I'm more interested in playing the odd live tournament now (landed a nice win last year) but obviously nothing is happening right now.

Yup, still holding - not a paper handed bitch like yourself. Nah, seriously, I would have done the same if I were in your position. I only have four shares, so I might as well treat this as a long position instead. It went up to 90 for a short while today, which lit a small and irrational hope that the SQUEEZE was on after all, but then it rapidly plummeted downwards and fizzled out at 63,77 in the end.

i'm starting to think that this is not over actually, jeez, this is such a stupid rollercoaster

hold your fuckin stonks maybe you were right all along

i think we're going to see an increase in price over the next couple of days

No price increase today, but yeah, you might be right. Read a couple of interesting posts on how HFs can hide their short positions by using synthetic long positions, which might be what's happening with GME. What an utterly absurd saga this is, the icing of the cake being the WSB takeover by shady imposter mods

Mostly hold em for the cash games? Definitely true about being disciplined, especially in those online cash games. I used to play more sng's online, usually the 20 or 50 buy ins would have enough shitty players where you didn't even have to pay too much attention for the first 20-30 minutes, and then just focus a bit when it got down to 5-6 players (and not a huge time commitment). Most u.s states have banned online poker, but I do miss it--maybe one day ny will bring it back--we could use the revenue :D

I also enjoyed playing 7 card stud and omaha, but that was only with a small group of friends--how is their popularity in europe? I tried omaha once at a casino and it was like half old people at the table not seeing the card and asking what the rules were

Live tournaments are fun, I wish the casino wasn't so damn far for me. How many people and what was the buy- in at the tourney you won last year? Any notable crazy hands/situations you remember for that one?

Mostly NL Texas Hold'em yes, with a little bit (maybe 5 %) of 5-cards Omaha, which is fun but I never was very successful at it.

I can only speak for France as liquidity sharing hadn't opened up to Italy, Spain and Portugal until after I stopped playing regularly. The Stud, Deuce to Seven, H.O.R.S.E and Dealer Choice games were introduced only in 2016. I've never bothered to learn these but from what I hear their popularity is still very marginal, which makes for a small but probably rewarding field for skilled players.

It was a small tournament (8-max NLH) at a small casino near my place, so I think that including re-entries there were like 120 players. The buy-in was €180 and I left with €3200.

I don't really remember hands in great detail, there were a few interesting ones. What I remember is being crippled mid tournament and winning AKo vs AKo for my tournament life thanks to a stupid river clubs flush. I started really hitting my stride at five left or so and landed four or five sick bluffs. Opponents at this stage were weirdly rather passive and it felt like I couldn't lose.

Finally secured a PS5 disc version yesterday.

I probably won't get one until more games are released, the buzz dies down, (if any) first release glitches are fixed, and I have a hole burning in my pocket....However, INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

Once acclimated, give us the deets, por favor.

Edit: However, my new TV accommodates all the new fancy next gen quackery so it'll probably be sooner than I anticipate, knowing myself.

Groceries. Target was a little low on refrigerated and frozen stuff since they had to throw everything out, but they had done a good job of restocking quickly.

Ive had one since December, and I also have a Series S. I obtained both of these through outrageous strokes of luck. Not trying to boast, but I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Both consoles are really nice.

also, OH MY GOD: they're releasing a remastered version of Diablo 2 for PS, Xbox, and Switch. I've been waiting for this for like 20 years.
