it's gonna be here in like a week or so...can't wait...
It'll probably arrive at the same time as the Robin....damn, I feel like xmas and birthday at the same time...

Damn, lots of great new additions keep showing up in this section and there's not much showing up in my room, hehe. Good thing I am expecting a few upgrades soon :)

say lasse, any past experiences with ascendancys shipment to our region ?
what about taxes, are they cool with a little understatement valuewise ??

no it's the first time.
I heard the Trannies of the 2ch can be connected to run at 220v....
if not I'd have to go with the TAD Tranny for 210€ :(
and...
PM'd (nothing to discuss officially ;) )

For crying out loud, Lasse... how many amps do you own now? What, your custom one-of-a-kind head wasn't good enough?
:)

It was (and still is) good enough...
I just don't want to record other bands thru it (should remain a "wow I want that sound but will never be able to get it"-amp for others than me :heh: ).

plus it's in my liverack and I don't wanna take my gear out of the rehearsalroom everytime I record guitars for other bands, this way I still have awesome amps to offer for bands without having to take my band's stuff to the studio every other day-

right now I have 4 main amps in the Studio:
-2ch Recto (not now but in a week or so)
-6505
-JMP 2203
-Roland JC-120

with those I think I can deliver pretty much any sound the client might be desiring.

And no, I don't have too much money, I just rather eat nothing but toast and drink water for 3 month than record with a valvestate ;)....
and I don't have a car or go out often at the weekend and I'm living in a small apartement....
priorities ...

Nice amp

If it's a 110V and you want to use it with 230V you should change the transformer. I was told by a Mesa tech that the amp will sound different if used with a step up transformer.
The price to change the transformer was told here to be around 200-300 Eur.

I was also trying to buy a 110V 2ch blackface and then change the transformer after, but I managed to buy 2!!:yow: 230V DR 2-ch Blackface.

Yeah, the tranny is 209€...
perhaps I don't even need it (old mesas had different connections on the primary side....if i'm lucky I can just solder the other wire to the power and am fine...
worst case...replacement tranny for 209€....

yeah, few days ago a first-series (below 500) dual was sold on ebay here for VERY cheap-
wasn't a lackface though.

It arrived today...
had to fix some things first (case was broken when it arrived etc)..but everything is fine now.
I replaced the PT with a 230v one and took the amp for a testdrive at todays rehearsal....
HOLY FUCK!!
this BEAST has not much in common with the newer 3ch I tried...so it seems like all the 2ch-hype has a reason...what a great amp!

Gavin, you're probably gonna be the first (metalband) that's recording with it...
