Metalocalypse is a genius cartoon, and the music is entertaining (but not amazing.) It makes fun of everything that I love about metal, done by someone who actually appreciates the genre.

I like dethklok because their riffs are catchy.
What I like to say is, if it sounds good, and fits somewhere in my taste of genres, then i'll like it.

Also, a lot of people found out about dethklok because thunderhorse was a popular song on guitar hero 2.
