-Vito Bratta
-Dimebag
-kerry King:notworthy
-Dave mustaine
-Alex Skolnik
-Nuno Betancourd
-yngwie malmsteen
-Rocky George(ex-suicidal)

Vito Bratta to desappear... somebody tale me about him!!!

Nuno? You think Nuno (and most those others, but especially Nuno Bettencourt) is more important/better than Jimmy Page, Angus Young, Richie Blackmore, Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, Slash, Joe Satriani etc etc etc?

Nuno?

Yeah agree with a few fripp, zappa, iommi, blackmore, hendrix. how bout Les Paul ? Al Di Meola ? Eddie Van Halen ? Stevie Ray Vaughn ? Andres Segovia ?

you don't have to play metal or even rock to play guitar

He said his top ten, not an objective top ten. :OMG:

What he actually said was this was his "the most Big guitars of the Century".
It's not really subjective - I'm sure the size of those guys guitars could be measured very easily.
Malcolm Young's white Gretsch, as used in the "Hells Bells" video is probably the "most big" guitar of the past 30 odd years.

Hell yeah, Vito Bratta rules! I read a few years ago that he'd quit playing altogether, a shame. I love White Lion cause of him, his playing is unbelievable.

I can't fault some of his choices - Alex Skolnick is indeed phenomenal - and both karrokid and baldguyfromblacklodge mentioned guitarists that I think our Venezuelan friend would really appreciate.

Sudamerican - check out some of the lists that the others have put together. I don't know how available some of these artists are in your area, but I'll bet you'll have some fun checking them out and expanding your list of your best guitarists of the century.

Oh - this is gonna get me flamed, but Trevor Rabin always impressed me as well. Check out the solo "Solly's Beard" off 9012Live: The Solos - wow!

Gotcha!! Thanks for the correction.:u-huh:

adrian and dave are in the second post of the thread, brian may kicks some major ass and has a tone all his own.
trevor rabin is alright, why would you get flamed YES would have pussed out with or without him, it was the 80's damn it.
which brings up Steve Howe who is also a great guitarist. if this was 1973 i'd go burn one, put yessongs on the turn table, and turn on my lava lamp.

haha i love the idea of the biggest guitar, i wonder who actually does have that, guiness book of records must know :)

some of my fave guitarists ... not mentioned above: andreas kisser, tim sult, pepper keenan, tom morrello, jerry cantrell, kim thayil, jim martin, ..... man i'm bound to be forgetting a stack, ....as you can see i love big grooves :) technical speed is awesome too, but stick in some chunky riffs and i'm a happy man......
