It NEVER ends
Cool post Glenn! I haven't attempted to sort out my "best" yet, but I guarantee you that Primal Fear, Nightwish,Volbeat, Pagans Mind, & Threshold would fill out the first half of my top 10...
3. Volbeat- Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil: Punk rockabilly? Sounds like Johnny Cash meets Elvis meets Life of Agony (how many care what that guys name was?). Hell, I even read a Stray Cats/Barry Bonds comparison. Regardless of how you describe it, I can dance to it.
9. Fair to Midland- Fables from a Mayfly: What I Want to Tell You is True : I dont know either. I like it though.
10. Hardcore Superstar- Dreamin in a Casket: Sleazy glam done right. Little Caesar finally has some competition. Besides, anyone that wears the Anthrax-I'm the Man style hat gets bonus points.
Raintime- Flies & Lies: Bodom meets Skid Row
WOW! I am shocked that "Unia" is not up there. Granted, it is a hard CD to listen to. But, after a few spins, you can see the genius behind it.
Were talking about Sonata Arctica's Unia, right?
Surprised no Megatropolis
No, the one by Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad.![]()
FIRST BEST POST OF 08 !
Back to the list, there are about 7 on there that we share. I was not aware of the Poodles but I will be looking into them. Sounds like fun stuff.
Him missing a completely sarcastic post is not worthy of best post![]()
Ouch, no Riverside yet again? Rapid Eye Movement can't seem to catch a break around here.
Nor was it this year.
The Poodles...I've heard a great deal about this band, but I've never been able to bring myself to check them out. Hmmm...I'll give them a shot...there's been too many people to compare them to 80's hard rock for me not to check them out.

Droll....Very, very droll.Nor was it this year.
I hope Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad's "Unia" was better than Sonata Arctica's. I guess it would have to be.
