Get some Adagio to check out Stephan Forte (Sanctus Ignis and Underworld are their two albums). Also check out Angra for Kiko Loureiro's stuff (very underrated). I suggest Rebirth.

Get Greg Howe's Parallax. The best fusion guitar CD ever. Also get his work with Vitalij Kuprij on High definition. Howe is a monster. Further, get some Tony MacAlpine (Maximum Security), Vinnie Moore (Mind's eye, Time Odyssey), Joey Tafolla (Plastic), or more on the fusion side, some Allan Holdsworth, especially Hard hat area and Heavy Machinery (with the Johansson brothers). If you want some metal stuff with scary guitar work, get Meshuggah's Destroy erase improve (their guitarists is very Holdsworth-influenced), Martyr's Warp Zone (again, scary rhythm work and tons of Holdsworth legato style in the solos), Adagio (just ordered Underworld) and Angra (Rebirth, as Yngvai just said).
