Hi all, this is my first post here, but I´ve been lurking for some time without being registered to post. I´ve been into Otyg and Vintersorg for years though, absolutely marvelous bands.

So, some comments on your translation:

"Vederkvickelse" means strengthening or refreshening, be it physical or mental.

I guess Vintersorg means a simple water spring in this case "källa", the source of the rivulet. I guess there´s no exact English translation. "Lurar" means lurking too. All in all, Vintersorg stands in awe as to what a simple trickle of water can do - drill a tunnel through solid rock - this does not show when you look at a simple stream of water, hence, the hidden, lurking power in it.

"Bjärt" most often mean "shining brightly".

Thanks! It's nice to have some help from a swedish person. You see, I have this tiny swedish dictionary (that I found at my parents place) that I use for the words that are different from norwegian and that I don't understand, but most often they don't stand in the damn book. But "bjärt" stood threre, though... Could it mean what I said to?

To Fjelltussa regarding the word "bjärt": Just to be sure I dug up a dictionary here and the explanation says: "grann" or "skarpt lysande". I actually had no idea what garish means, so I looked it up in my English dictionary just now and it does indeed mean "grann" in Swedish. So, you were absolutely right, and me too btw!

He he, I know it doesn't sound very good in english, but hey, I'm not writing poems/lyrics; I'm translating. Ever tried to translate english lyrics into norwegian...? ...slå meg, baby, en gang til... Hehe, that sounds even worse.

But hey, you don't understand swedish?!? Didn't you watch Pippi, Emil, Vi på Saltkråkan and Ronja Rövardotter when you were a kid? I love R.R. That is actually one of my favourite movies - I'm not kidding!! But about poems... who understands stuff like that? I certainly don't.

For Morgana: I'm almost ready with two of the poems, and some more lyrics, there's just some words left that I have to figure out, and I don't have dictionary at hand just now, so you will have to wait some longer... But it's coming! And for the poetry: You've read Vintersorg lyrics in english, made by the man himself, so you'll know how great a poet he is from that! You only get the meaning from me.
