Yeah, bree vocals are inhaled. They're really uncomfortable to perform and not worth the effort, in my opinion.

the name is really misleading. Im not sure why its called that, because I dont do it with the throat. Its all about getting more than one note at a time through harmonics. Hard to explain. Youtube it

No they are exhaled as well. Most brutal death metal bands do them all the time and they are all exhaled.

I think he means vocals that sound like the high pitched squeal near the beginning of this Nekrogoblikon excerpt.



I guess those could be inhaled or exhaled, but it's hard to tell exactly what he's doing.
