Need some good death metal reccommendations...

At the Gates - The Red in the Sky is Ours
Miasma - Changes (although not very technical, but its good)
Demilich - Nespithe, awesome vocals to go with good tech death.

just reciently got Pavor and Natron... heard good about both.... im checking them out after my listen to slough feg... heh

Call me an old fart if you will, but I still think Entombed's 'Clandestine' is one of the finest death albums ever made.

The old Swedish scene, with some scattered Finns, are the best Death Metal for me. So that includes, of course, Entombed.

I believe the gravity blast originated from a jazz technique for a one-handed roll. It's really, really hard to pull off well. Longstreth does it frequently in Origin. Their new drummer pulls it off too. Listen to the final 20 seconds of Amoeba off their newest cd to hear their most blazing stuff.

early Sentenced like Shadows of the Past and North From Here

latter Aeternus is good brutal stuff, especially Shadows of Old

Hypocrisy - The Fourth Dimension

anything by Rudra, though The Aryan Crusade is their best

Asphyx - The Rack

old Edge of Sanity, mainly Unorthodox

EDIT: I guess I missed the part where he said he wanted technical death, but I don't give a shit. The ones I listed are better than 99% of that technical horseshit.
