Need some insane awsomeness melodic folk\viking metal...

Lost Dreams (Melodic Death, but besides the lack of folk instruments they're close)
and some of their stuff reminds me of Graveworm, others like XIV Dark Centuries and Ensiferum, but you probably already know them if you know Equillibrium.

Manegarm is the best viking metal band. I recommend getting their 07 release Vargenstenen. Also Vredens Tid and Dodsfard are amazing. Their other albums are black/viking if that interests you. Also, Finsterforst, Dalriada(female fronted), Forefather, Glittertind, Hrossharsgrani and XIV Dark Centuries.

Im in love with this subgenre as of late and if you got any bands like Equilibrium send them my way please.

Eluveitie kick ass...spirit is very good. But isn't Viking Metal at all.

What Eluveitie did you hear?

Try that

Sounds great. If you are a pro-downloader I will hook you up with some Manegarm, fucking best in the viking metal genre IMHO.

Whens that Equilibrium do for release? I have the Turis Fratyr album

None of the above 3 bands sound like Equilibrium, and Eluveite are really bad

Turisas sounds just like Equilibrium. It's not as though Equilibrium have an insanely genuine, original sound. They write symphonic, catchy viking metal, just like Turisas, and similar to Moonsorrow (granted, Moonsorrow is a bit more black/folk metal). Equilibrium pretty much ripped off those two bands; if you combine Turisas and Moonsorrow, you get Equilibrium (no pun intended).

Admitted though, Eluveitie are mostly folk metal; but they still have melodic passages, just like Equilibrium.

You're splitting hairs.

Im going to say you havent ever listened to Moonsorrow, I havent heard one Moonsorrow song that is at all close to Equilibrium.

I'm going to say you're deaf. I own several Moonsorrow albums, and I hear many similarities in the symphonic orchestrations. That said, I think that Moonsorrow write much more complicated, black/folk influenced songs than Equilibrium. However, I think that the melodies of Turisas are more prevalent in Equilibrium's music, along with the symphonic passages. When you combine the symphonic/melodic/vocal elements of both bands, you basically have a blueprint for Equilibrium. They're a good band, I'm not denying that; but they're not original.

And I love Turisas. The Varangian Way is one of the best records I've ever heard; but if you don't like Battle Metal, you probably won't like it. Listen to a few songs on their myspace first.
