Need wise metalhead´s advice!(epic sounding bands)

Hi, i´m kind of new to metal, and have a varied taste of genres.
I realized that the bands I like have some kind of epicness to it, or some cool melodies.
I´m into growling and clean vocals, don´t like scream much...
Some interests are:
-Amon Amarth
-Sabaton(love them)
-Children of Bodom
-Blind Guardian
-Manowar
and others...
If someone could recommend some (preferably active or relatively new) Bands that have this melody and epicness touch to it, I would be very grateful.

I'm going to recommend Powerwolf since you like Sabaton. They're also power metal and fairly similar I think. Their lyrics are a little silly compared to Sabaton though.

Their vocalist is a classically trained singer with a burning metal heart.... Which throws the epic factor higher for me.

I recommend Dark Lunacy, an Italian melodic death metal band, particularly The Diarist:

Epic band = Symphony X

They wrote an epic song about the epic of the Odyssey, something like 20 minutes long.
