Nevermore noob here

I wouldn't mind a ballads only CD from them. I'm all into ballads, apparently much like alot of you and I think it would be cool.

Will, did I ever mention how cool that CD cover of yours is?

I've found myself shying away from overly progressive stuff. Why does Primordial give me a shiver with their simple, 3/4 time and "terzini" found in most folk music? It's not difficult, but GODDAMMIT it grabs you by the fucking balls and doesn't let go. Shining example would be Empire Falls.

I highly approve and agree with this post.

Hermaphrodites would rather be known as intersex people.

so says my sociology professor...

I think a ballads album would be an interesting idea too. There's not one Nevermore ballad that I don't like. I mean, I think I'm the only person who'd say their favorite Dead Heart song is Insignificant (well, Chances Three if you'd count that).

Hellas lives in Greece but he's a good friend of mine from another board I used to post on.

Hellas, Dead Heart isn't very good.

This is what you need

The best album is Dreaming Neon Black. I know you and I have had women all but destroy us, that album offers pain and madness you can't help but genuinely feel.

Give those some time to grow on you. Oh, by the way Hellas. Nevermore aren't even one of my favorite bands. I know you're open minded and like Daft Punk, give the rapper Z-Ro a chance. Start with the song Top Notch I guess.

Self-Titled album is definitely not my favourite. However, CBF is one of my favourite Nevermore songs, so it makes up for it <3
In Memory is a pretty good album that gets overlooked often
First three tracks of Politics of Ecstasy are fantastic! The rest seems to lose my interest. Closest sounding album to DNB
Dreaming Neon Black = Best Nevermore album. Probably Warrel's best
Dead Heart is a solid album. Yeah, too much 7 string chug in many tracks but that album has some great ballads and many NM classics.
I don't get why people shit themselves over EOR, pretty weak album overall. Very hard-hitting and thrashy but many songs lose my interest.
TGE = near perfect. Production, mixing, song content, all great. It almost seems too good and I like a little character in the overall sound (like DNB, POE, EOR). Andy Sneap is awesome but Neil Kernon knows how to fit this band's sound

With all that said, check out Warrel's solo album. I would put it up against any Nevermore album. Seriously a memorable solo album and great vocals.

I love "I, Voyager" but can't convince myself that solo actually sounds good

And I tend to like weird dissonant stuff (in moderation).
