Nevermore release date...

You fail it, bitch. So you'll take 'alien abduction with non-lubricated anal probing' and 'child molestation by a gay priest' instead. You dirty astral h0m0. :loco:
He wasn't gay... he was molesting a girl.

Forget the headbanging shit, I'm just saying that Stefan Zell is more talented that Englund. Listen to "Sarah" and "Carousel" and prove me wrong. I'll take emotion over everything else.
While I'd agree that Zell is the better vocalist (though I would point to his work on "The Window Purpose"), for pure "emotion", Englund holds his own with anyone. The way he delivers "State of Paralysis" is amazing.

Huh. I thought it was about priests molesting choir boys, hence the molested choir boy on the front cover.
Since it's not a strict concept album, more of a themed CD, the story is kind od fragmented.

Taken from "Harmless Wishes":

Defenseless and smiling
Her innocence is shining
His own flesh and own blood
His words were so convincing
Delightful so beautiful
Can't stop what he's been told
She's three years old

Taken from "The Essence Of Conviction":

Hand in hand down the altar aisle
Her father's presence brings her to a smile
A grand welcome from the assembled crowd
Greeted as the "circles" first child
Undressed to nothing and held to the sky
Her smile is gone and she starts to cry
Desperately seeking her father's eyes
But he sees nothing
He's blind.

Wow, I never knew that. I've only ever had a promo copy of that album, and never followed the lyrics, but now that I read "Harmless Wishes", it all makes sense because I recognize the words.

What a silly cover then. I mean, it's a boy right? And before you ask, yes, I always judge a book by its cover. :loco:

I've never actually sat down and read the lyrics either. I've listened to the CD a good number of times, and read a few interviews with Tom regarding the disc.

Is it a boy? I've always kind of made that assumption as well. However, looking at now, I'm not sure if it's really possible to tell:

Wait a minute...wrong album. I thought we were talking about Recreation Day? OK now I'm totally confused.

If that's not a fucking boy, then you've got some strange taste in women. :loco:

We are? When you so eloquently said the following, I assumed we were talking about "The Inner Circle":

That's most certainly a boy. And I suppose congratulations are now in order. That's the first time you've been right about something in this thread.

Will you two stop it???? What do think this is, a discussion forum or something???? :loco:
A discussion forum? No. I'm under the impression that this is a self-help group for men who know very little about music, and I am here as a guide. Granted, some need more help than others. For instance, those who think "Hammerheart" is a great album are in desperate need of help.:tickled:

So when I say "boy molestated by a priest", you automatically think of "Inner Circle" which has nothing to do with priest molestation, as opposed to "Recreation Day" that's about priest molestation. I see.

So where have I been wrong? I didn't think I was even arguing about anything.

I wasn't even aware "Recreation Day" was a concept album, much less that it was all about a priest molesting a boy. The production on it is so bad, and the songs so weak, that I rarely listen to it. "The Inner Circle" is about parents so blinded by faith, they fail to see the abuse of thier children by religous elders. I assumed this was the disc you were referring to.

We weren't. I was joking.

 Zod - you've been chowing down on way too much green kryptonite.

I'll take S.D.T., ISoT and RD over anything Wolverine has ever done.

As you can see, I referred to Recreation Day because you listed SDT (Solitude Dominance Tragedy), ISotT (In Search of the Truth), and RD (Recreation Day).

Are you a Kryptonian or a Jedi, because you are playing mind tricks. :loco:

I think you may be right.

LOL. Yeah, I meant "The Inner Circle", not RD.
You should never try to follow my train of thought. You'll only end up with a headache.

LOL!!

In all seriousness Zod, did you see that Symphony X just confirmed for Gigantour? Whoo-Hooo! Another plus.

Very cool. Did you read Mustaine's comments:

I am honored to announce that the fantastic group Symphony X has confirmed to join us for Gigantour this summer in the US.

I am triple stoked, and I know you will be too. This is a great opportunity for both Megadeth and Symphony X fans to discover each other. AND they come highly recommended by Mike Portnoy and the Drover brothers.

I would like to personally thank the lads in Symphony X for pushing the recording of their new record back in order to support my dreamchild of Gigantour. I look forward to meeting Mike Romeo and his crew and treating them better than they have ever been treated on any tour they have done.

Glad the guys over at SyX did this, though I may not like their music, I think they deserve more exposure just for the sheer talent in that band.

That last line is kind of odd.

Zod

Haha, yeah that reads like this:

I'm really glad Symphony X are on this tour. I'll treat them like royalty. Shame their music sucks ass, but what the hell, I couldn't get Dissection.

:loco:

Cool, even if this means yet another delay for their next album, but The Odyssey was way behind schedule as well. The band themselves have yet to confirm it, I figure the odds are fifty-fifty. Now let's hope Dave doesn't throw a shitfit over Nevermore's politics. Recreation Day is not a concept album and only the last track deals with priests with a weakness for altar boys, there is a general theme of coping with death though.
All this Englund vs. Zell talk leaves me with one conclusion: we need an update from the Wolverine camp.

I didn't think Recreation Day was as bad as some make out (like the deranged Zod freak who can't even keep up with which album to argue about :loco: ). I have to admit though, it was seeing them perform that material live that sold it. "Recreation Day" is a great song.

That reminds me!! I got the live Evergrey DVD in the mail yesterday!!! I'd much rather review that than the live album, because Evergrey do put on a good show.

LOL. It's actually not horrible. But I do think Tom and Henrik did a horrible job on the prodcution.

I've had the MP3s for months. Haven't listened to them once. I'll buy the DVD when it comes out.
