Ok, I'm a bit late in the game - I bought my first Nevermore CD today after hearing people rave about them for so long.

So far it sounds pretty good... what do YOU think of them?

What album did you get Mark?

Some songs I recommend to download are:

The River Dragon Has Come
Inside Four Walls
Poison God Machine
The Sound of Silence (its a Paul Simon cover but it's extremely good)

I can't wait to see them live again in May. :D

You should definitely get Dreaming Neon Black next.

If you like that one then you should just get their rest of their albums which are:

Politics of Ecstacy (Seven Tongues of God is godly!!!)
In Memory EP
Nevermore

This story sounds might familiar!

I bought Dead Heart after I heard people raving on and on about it. (bought it about a month and a half ago.)

At first I was unsure if I really like it or now. Either way I couldn't stop listening to the bloody thing.

Now I realise just how good it is. I love it. So much so I went out and bought the CD boxed vrsion with three extra songs, including a cover of Judas Priest's Love Bites! (which is... different. But really rocking after a while)

:D
:D
:D
:D

I bought it the same time I bought two Dream Theatre CD's. Scenes From A Memory and Images and Words. Until last week, I hadn't even listened to them. I have now, and they really do rock!

I have Nevermore's cover of "Love Bites" on one of those Judas Priest tribute CDs with bands like Iced Earth, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, and others I can't remember offhand. Can't say I liked them that much, but I've only heard that and "Poison Godmachine" so I guess I shouldn't judge them based on two songs.

It's Dream TheatER, not TheatRE :) Say that in a DT BB or mailing list and you'll be strung up - doesn't bother me none, but figured 'd say it anyway :)

Love Bites doesn't sound much like any other Nevermore tracks that I know of, that's why I called it different.. Shouldn't judge them by that. I havn't heard the other song you mentioned.

I stand corrected. Damn crappy American spelling... who gave them to re-spell half the English language to suit themselves...

I also just got my first Nevermore disc and it was also DHIADW man I am blown away by it. Great album, i'm just sorry it took this long for me to catch onto this great band.

Nevermore have some very kickass music. Their guitars sound awesome, and the songwriting is above average as well. However, I find that Warrel Dane's voice can get on my nerves a bit after a few songs, so I tend to listen to them in short, sharp bursts. :)

Pick up ALL their stuff. Yesterday. And don't forget 'Refuge Denied,' and 'Into the Mirror Black,' by Sanctuary, Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard's pre-Nevermore band.

Hey, I got "Dead Heart in a Dead World" too, few days ago :)
This isn't my style actually, I like slower music like doom, but I find it this cd very good. It sounds better every time I listen to it, and I can't sit still when I'm playing it  :hotjump:
