Never been a fan of those boomy, loose tones. Drums sound well done, though. Kick, snare and vocal centre are fuckin right on though. Good for the genre.

Not a fan of the guitars or the band at that matter. The clean vocals were better than what I would expect. Center of the mix is good but Suicide Season geets are where it's at.
feel like ive heard this before... sounds like they've been listening to a plea for purging
hate the mix... drums don't gel somehow like it sounds like some crappy stock basic kontakt/strike sounds or something, cant put my finger on it

This song sounds like a huge step back from the last record.
I really don't get all the hate this band has been getting more recently. The last record featured songwriting that's miles ahead of most of the metalcore scene.

I'm pretty sure recall it supposedly being touted as "natural drums", whatever that means nowadays.
On BMTH - there seems to be a point when metal bands (don't argue the genre I dgaf) are hitting solid mainstream where labels start shipping off the material normally mixed by metal staples like suecof and sneap to the radio rock guys who usually end up bastardising it because its not terribly well situated to their mixing styles. Hard to tell with all that compression though - I know my mixes get fucked with radio limiting; I was sat listening to one of my songs on the radio the other day going "I HAD DYNAMICS THERE ON PURPOSE YOU WANKS".

I guess after a band has made a few records, and not sold that much, it might be time to try for a wider audience instead of working port time at Starbucks. Other bands starve it out and stay true to their roots, make a few records and retire. its probably the reason every band goes through many members. Sounds to me like this band are going for mainstream.
