New Bring Me the Horizon

The singer has been a millionaire for years off the back of his clothing company so I doubt thats it ^

Ollie and the Boys know what they're doing; even if it ain't my thing. Those guy's are switched on.

it's amazing how one man's meat is another man's poison, I fell in love with this record when it came out, and I dig the way it sounds a lot too

ah no man i love the plea record! it was the BMTH record i was talking about as being crappy sounding!!!

feel like ive heard this before... sounds like they've been listening to a plea for purging

hate the mix... drums don't gel somehow like it sounds like some crappy stock basic kontakt/strike sounds or something, cant put my finger on it

Those drums are all natural, done by Josh Schroeder. Hate the band, but the work the engineer does with natural drums is extremely impressive.

EDIT: Oh whoops, I saw you were talking about the BMTH thing and not the Plea one.

What?

DOES HE EVEN LIFT?

The single thing I like about BMTH is the vocal style, but I think Sam Carter did it better on Hollow Crown anyways.

Honestly never liked this band.

The only ounce of respect I had for them was Jona being on guitar as I really enjoy the stuff that guy has worked on and after having to watch these guys live before Machine head, his guitar tone is absolutely immense...

I listened to this track as there was a lot of buzz around it from here and FB...

...Gotta say I still do not give a shit about this band... their music is just something I can't get into... and their lead singer is a royal peenarse...

you guys must all be smoking fucking CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

this mix, without a doubt, ABSOLUTELY SLAYS about 95% of what I've been hearing lately.

It's heavy as fuck and yes the SNR is loud as fuck but it SOUNDS so bloody euphonic that I don't even care! (BTW, pushing the SNR way high in the mix is getting very popular in rap-type genre's and slowly crossing over into the Top 40 shite.

I mean c'mon; Terry Date (*ENOUGH SAID RIGHT THERE*) and Bendeth? SO SICK. I would however; love to hear Dates' take on this mix!

It moves, it bounces, it's BALANCED and GLUED together like a MOTHERFUCKER and it SLAMSSSSSS. And it slams HARD. It just RAMS YOUR ASS. Jammin' it right up there (facetious gay joke/stupid/insanity/#help

Pretty unique mix for this style of music. Props to them for chasing something a bit different.

That aside, the one thing worse than the music could be those tattoos. Looks like someone chundered all over him after a skittle-eating contest.

I'd have to disagree here, Jona was a part of I killed the prom queen, the most mundane unoriginal "big" metalcore band ever. Besides, he seems to jump ship into what's hip way to often.

The other little dweeb seems to be the brains, he practically changed the generic metalcore sound with suicide season. Until that cd everyone was still beating melodeath to death (pun), and after that it's all chug chug chug and bit of delay.

why the hell am I even contemplating this

I like it, but other than the chorus that actually has some singing for once it's basically the same song/riff they've been using for the last 2 albums. It's like they're just trying to see how many times they can hit A♯ in one song.

Just cranked the official mix here and I agree, it crushes most mixes. Snare is loud and bright but a lot of the song is halftime so it work with the reverb. I think this record might not be for all of true Metalheads as it has singing and a chorus. I think it is more like Muse or radio friendly sounding. This mix does not have generic metal sounds and the guitars are not that heavy but I really like it.
Declan is obviously not a Bendenth fan and a lot of us here would not normally listen to a song like this. I will wait to hear the whole CD.

And you're obviously Bendeth's single biggest nut-swinger as you literally only ever show up in threads where he or his work are being discussed to "defend" him (when he's not even really being attacked)...

Massive +1 to what Ermz said, just to expand and say that most "true Metalheads" (the people I take you to mean anyway) worship the bands Ermz mentioned as well as underground extreme metal.
BMTH don't cater to a metal crowd, they obviously wouldn't exist without metal or hardcore, but to actually think of them as some sort of offshoot of bands who strongly identify with traditional metal or hardcore subcultures and music is wrong IMO.
