New COF

I was a huge fan of CoF for many years but the last few releases have sounded the same to me. I partially blame the drumming. After Nick it just got so generic. if I pull anything, it's Cruelty or earlier although I did like Nymphetamine. Midian was okay but heavily saturated with female vocals. Reminded me of a Siebenburgen album with the constant "ooooh"s and "aaaahhh"s.

As for COF, neal nailed it (once again, the bearded bastard!).

Chris, I'm with you on My Dying Bride - they're just not as good any more. I recall talking to Matt about this, as we reached partial agreement that after 34.788%...Complete they started to decline. Like Gods of the Sun remains fucking amazing.

CoF are a pretty tight band, or used to be anyways... shit live though, well they were ok but the 600 pound bitch can't sing AT ALL live, literally nothing she sang was good and really wasn't even audible, the stuff you did hear was shit though. Only thing worse than a goth fag however, is someone who avoids a band because he thinks the fans are morons Every band has a cult following of retards, judge the music not the fanbase.

As far as this new song, it's ok. 5/10... boring, filler track. Listenable I guess, but I wouldn't go out of my way to put it on. As Dead Winter said... it's pretty meh. Still better than the new Metallica if you ask me though

A lot of ppl didn't like 34.788%, but I thought it was great. Annalisa doesn't like anything after Like Gods of the Sun, mainly due to the fact that she's in love with the violin on all the previous ones and wants them to bring it back.

I tease her about her classical training in elitism.

They did, this year. Replaced the keyboardist and the new one plays violin as well. She's the violinist of A Forest of Stars, a pretty awesome UK BM band I learned of recently.
