very interesting. however, a thought has pondered my mind ever since i began listening to DSO. since they obviously accept Satan and the Bible, doesnt that mean that they have a strong connection with God as well? it seems like their lyrics deal with how Satan and God are a part of our lives.
I'm open to all suggestions and interpretations, this is just what I get from reading DSO's lyrics.
We should just make an "Official Deathspell Omega Thread"

^ yeah well apparently theres a view that they arent "real" BM, as real BM interprets satan as a metephorical opposition to christianity, whereas DSO interpret him as actually existing as the christians say he does. Therefore they are just as bad as christians for believing in such nonsense.

Took me years for this band to sink in, and I started with them when they released the Clandestine Blaze split, which was very normal french sounding black metal at the time, compared to what they're releasing now. At that time they didn't really blip on my radar, until I heard Si Monumentum.
Thing is with Fas, while I love their previous releases, like kenose and their more old school stuff, Fas redefined my definition of music and really shocked me to the core, so every previous release feels like a lead up to Fas. Everything before Fas seems a little inferior. Still enjoyable. But Fas smashed my face into a bloody concave mess, while the likes of Kenose and Si Monumentum, and their splits, lightly brush my cheek!
I just hope they don't step backwards with this new release. Actually, i'm kinda hoping for 20 minutes of unrelenting chaos that is even harder to grasp and listen to than Fas. I want them to redefine my definition of music again.
Hope I'm not wishing for too much!
Kinda wish I knew what these guys looked like.

im with you here. i think it looks good considering that every subsequent album from SMRC on has been a "step up", or at least a step closer to the sound of fas. DsO have never "stepped back" to a previous sound, really.
god damn i can't begin to fathom what they have in store for us.
