New demo's

Dave is trying to say that WCFYA is to Anthrax what the White Album is to The Beatles. Anthrax grew up, and they grew up with John. As much as I can't wait for a new album, I still think that John should have his rightful place back as singer in the band. Everytime I see live footage now of Joey from the reunion tour, it makes me cringe. Joey is still stuck in the 80's where he belongs. Anthrax have outgrown that now.

Exactly why the reunion hit me the way it did when it all came down. Because I grew up right along with the music. If its changin...or over....or whatever it will become I am just glad to have had such a great soundtrack to my life...

Umm...did you just compare The White Album with We've Come For You All???:hypno: Don't get me wrong, I love WCFYA...however, to compare it to The Wite Album is damn near blasphemy!

I prefer WCFYA to The White Album. The Beatles are okay, but I don't agree with the whole The Beatles are untouchable attitude.

Cheers Col, that is what i was getting at.... I think

Wow, cant you guys go three pages of posts without things going back to the old JB versus JB bullshit? Oh, well i enjoyed reading what everyone thought of charlies new licks (this was what the topic was about right?).

Look, if you cant watch any more joey footage, download some burger king ads.

The demo's are okay. The only thing is I never heard any of Anthrax's early demo's before so it's hard to compare it to W.C.F.Y.A. But it is interesting to hear how these riff's will evolve into full songs.

I actually prefer The Rolling Stones to The Beatles. I never said anything about The Beatles being untouchable, however, you can't deny the influence they have had on music. Both KISS and Black Sabbath have cited The Beatles as major influences on their music and Anthrax has cited both KISS and Black Sabbath as major influences on them. So, without The Beatles...who knows what Anthrax would sound like today? Just something to think about.

I hereby retract my accusation of blasphemy as it seems that I misunderstood the true meaning of your post! Please accept this cold beer:kickass: as restitution for my misgivings. (There's a lot of big words in there...what did I say?):hypno:

Does that mean I'm free to say the Beatles suck?:Smug:

I got into Anthrax because of John Bush's voice. I'm loosing interest in Anthrax because the voice I loved has been silenced! I hang around here in hope. Hope thet one day Anthrax will once again be fronted by one of the greatest rock/metal singers of all time. :kickass:

In an ideal world Bushthrax would be as big as Metallica, as their output since SOWN has been far superior in my opinion.

However Scott and Charlie surely have to do what they can to ensure Anthrax remains a viable commercial success, ie to pay the rent. I'll support them whatever, and I'm sure the next album will be killer.

They have not dissapointed me yet. (okay, perhaps a little bit with SOE)

That poll doesn't impresss me in the least. We're talking about some obscure thrash metal site here which had a 29 voter turnout, half of which are probably losers that live in their parents' basement and haven't bought a CD since the inception of an affordable CD burner that their parents bought for them.

The polls here don't have many more voters than that..
