New Fractal Audio Product in 5 day's

XeS: You're posting an audio clip for audio engineers to scrutinize the difference between A and B. If you don't expect someone pointing out other things then you are in the wrong place  And, point of fact, the sloppy playing actually can disguise a lot of things about the sound. Last I checked there is an old saying most know and some live by, "shit in, shit out."

Ok but I didn't record it...it was done by a friend and I posted it here only to let you check the differences I noticed. End of the story.
Why don't "you" say the same thing when Ola or Lasse post their "on the fly" tests where there are sloppy parts too...I've heard lot of sloppy playing in some of their tests but everybody knees to them also after a fart test....probably because if they post a test, everybody checks the TEST and not the playing.
Anyway end of OT. Next time I'll post nothing

This has already gone too far, I apologize the clip was sloppy. Better?

\_(o_O)_/

I hardly listen to any of the stuff Lasse or Ola post as their sounds generally aren't my cup of tea so I don't bother to begin with. Furthermore, what does that have to do with the sloppy playing in the clip posted by you which, as I already said, can disguise qualities about the tone - in other words - there may be more to it we just can't hear. That's what my point was, which was missed.

Annnnnnyway... back on topic now? Yay.

I really could not resist

No you didn't get MY point. I only posted it for YOUR interest so I don't give a shit if the playing is sloppy. It was only to share a comparation that probably some of you liked to hear.
What I don't like is the "I don't give a shit, it sucks because it's not played perfectly" attitude.
Anyyyyyyyyyway, back on topic.

You're missing the point, he's saying that "I don't give a shit because it sucks and masks any differences that there could have been if demonstrated by a player who isn't sloppy," not that he doesn't give a shit because it's sloppy in general.

I did a pre and post firmware 11 clip. I didn't change anything between the patches but you can see how the highs are changing.
It starts with the Firmware 10 and then after half firmware 11.

Recto patch:

5150 patch:

Hm, kinda less "digital" high end, maybe because it has less high end. What happens when you boost the highs? Does it get annoying? ;)

Oh yeah, what IR was that? :)

Of course. It's called marketing. ;)

It took him nearly four years to admit that the Axe-FX was a modeler.
