Just thought I'd share this with you guys, I scored a rare Caparison Apple Horn Aurora! Killer guitar I must say. The stock Caparison pickups are actually great, well at least the bridge pickup, it's very tight and very clear sounding. The neck pickup I'll probably change to a Duncan Hotrail though. Here are some pictures, I tried to get some that show off the finish. The guitar looks black until the light hits it...

ahhh ok, yeah.. the push/pull. Those things fuck me up for some reason... lol

Haha! This is the first guitar I've had with a push/pull, it's pretty cool. I gotta say, this Caparison PH-R pickup in the bridge is killer. I'd say it's my favorite bridge pickup so far, beating out the EMG85 and Duncan JB.

That's funny cause I have the same guitar... And after 3 years, I had to change
the pickups because I thought they suck really bad... Extremely noisy and thin.
Just had to load this guitar with some emgs, and now my life is good again :)

I think the best feature on this guitar is the neck, because it's really comfortable
to play... Anyway, it's a cool guitar you have there :headbang:

Yeah man, the Caparison necks are the most comfortable necks I've ever played! You didn't like the pickups huh? I'm a big fan of the bridge pickup, but I wish the single coil was a bit thicker sounding.

Well, yeah, I hated those pickups, they used to get all the noise from my CRT
screen, and everything in my room... I know from IA, that the neck pickup on
the aurora is worse than the one on the sandstone, he doesn't like it either...
But he has hotrails on his prototypes applehorns...

Yeah, the neck pickup could be thicker sounding, but man, I'm in love with this bridge pickup. I think it's great. Super tight, really clear, very balanced from string to string. One of the best bridge pickups I've ever played, if not the best!
