New Monitors!

Finally I got my fist out and am now the proud owner of a pair of Tapco S5's!!

I did want the S8's but when I saw how big they were....it was out of the question, they are like as big as my guitar cab! So I tossed up the prices between various monitors and for the sound to price ratio these did the job nicely. Got them set up and blew my newly record tune!.....bloody hell it sounds shite haha, well not shite but not as good as before with the pieces of shit I was using. This is good...in a way, im trying to correct the errors

Good man! I'm going into the market for some good monitors around the 200 quid range myself. Maybe i should take a look at these How are things with them now?

They are very good! Especially at 199 for 2 S5's. Nice and loud, well built, few features on the back to taylor them to your room space, quite sexy looking and they sound very cleanr + translate well! What more could you want!

Nice and loud

I never understood why people need their monitors loud. I always mix and record at *very* low volume because the levels translate *much* better later. Also the ear-fatigue is reduced drastically and I really don't believe in the "you gotta turn it up to check how it sounds when it's being played loud"-myth.

What I mean is they will give you it if you want it. If I had a car that did 200mph, I wouldnt do it while driving to work but if some fat mob was after me id use it. I only have them at 1/4 volume for mixing!
