No, this is not me saying I've heard of one, but rather asking when will there be one? Seems like 3 years is a bit much of a gap between albums for a band that's just getting pretty big; anyone know what the deal is?

Warrel Dane & Jeff Loomis have been working on their solo albums. Where warrels came out a couple of months ago, Jeff's is coming out in October, and they still have to find a new 2nd guitarist for Nevermore, so it will still be quite a while before they decide to release a new album.

The DVD will be out later this year. The next album is still pretty up in the air from what I understand, no set plans or time line. And the new Loomis record will be out in September I believe...it is really, really good. Here and there it comes out sounding like Nevermore (I mean it's Jeff, so why shouldn't it?), but he did a really good job of keeping it diverse and showing off his multifaceted guitar and songwriting skill. There are heavy songs, several slow ballad-like songs which are super epic and powerful (which are my favorites), a more neoclassical-ish song (the one he played at NAMM for Schecter), plenty of freaking shredding (but not mindless wankery), and overall it's just very diverse album that is 100% worth listening to on a regular basis!

They're taking a break. I am actually really happy for them and I thought Warrel's album was amazing, and I'm very much looking forward to Jeff's album as well.

Warrel's cd is amazing, Jeff's is gonna rule just because of that namm thing being on it alone!! Great to hear about it ruling, cheers.

Now to wait til september...

I think May 09 would be the earliest we see a new nevermore album, quite possibly later then that. Christ I hope I'm wrong!
