New pup help

Ok im looking into getting some new pups for 2 guitars.

Kramer 620 (solid body not ply, maple i think) setup is H/S/S
Jackson rr pro (poplar) setup is H/H

So the bands that best suit my playing would be Testament, Megadeth and Nevermore. The kramer has an emg 81 in the neck and no pups in the two single positions, although i have a emg sa sitting here that i never used.

I do like the emg in the kramer but am looking at different alternatives.

Well they all use Active Pups nowadays.

Eric from Testament and Loomis use an 81 / 85 set (jeff's are just the 7 string versions)
Dave uses Duncan Livewires.

Passives DONT sound like actives, so if you want that big midrange crunch then the EMG's are the thing to stick to. if you want to try something different check out the Duncan JB for Bridge and Jazz for neck. Dave used to use those in his Jacksons.
