Ok so we finished up a new song today using superior 2.0 for drums and my engl impulse for guitars. We recorded the vocals today aswell.

The song is called breaking the cycle and can be found on the top of the playlist on myspace:

And the following for you leechers ;)

Superior 2.0 preset:

Engl Savage impulse:

Note that the impulse is made for Space designer but I've heard that people have made it work for other programs just renaming the extension to.wav

Maybe someone can confirm that this works?

Enjoy!

Hey man,

I'm listening through cans because it's quite late here. Everything sounds great except for the guitars, which IMO, sounded quite a bit better on 'Godlike' and that era of stuff you did. I assume that was the Savage going through the actual cab, rather than SE and impulse? Since I'm on cans it's hard to tell whether that lack of stereo spillover on the OHs is still an issue. The cymbals do still sound a bit too localized for me, but I think it's something pedantic I've picked up with mic'ing a few too many real drumkits and finding you can never really get that degree of separation with much ease.

But once again.. on the whole, great job, and thanks for the impulse.

I really like everything i'm hearing here...

The guitarsound is "nice" not to brutal, and gives a little variation compared to everything else you hear... Nice playing too. The Drums are awesome again!! Good vocals!!! To summon up, it's awesome!!!

wow i really really enjoyed that song. In my opinion is the best one you've showed us yet:)
Love everything on this, its mixed very well.
Nir Z snare?

Wow this sounds great!! Love the guitar sound (can't wait to get my hadns on that impulse) and drums sound like they were tracked live!:kickass:

Quad track for this sound? What amp are you using? Settings on the amp? lol Thanks!

I love the song. Its great to hear music that sounds original and not just a rehash of other band's material.

Oh I missed Moonlapse post, thanks for always commenting on my posts. I know what you mean about the sound from Godlike. I can't seem to nail that tone anymore. Not in my apartment anyways. I'm saving up for a house just to be able to record guitars the old fashion way ;)

And thanks btw all for the words.

Nice drums.
Hmmm... try to use your preset on s2.0, but it's not sounds so cool.
What you doing with drums, post-processing etc.? :)
