New strings: how long till tracking?

About how long do you guys usually wait to track after restringing your instrument? I know there's a "setting in" period on fresh strings, but I just restrung my 5 string bass like 30 mins ago and want to record something NOW!! Any harm in jumping right in?

I restring right before tracking. Fuck a setting in period.

String up, snap, snap, pull, bend, tune, snap, pull, bend, tune, snap, pull, bend, tune...

When it stays in tune it's good to go.

Once it's stretched enough to stay in tune you're good to go.

Normally, you'll go flat every time you tune.....till you're set in, then you should be good to go.

Yeah man as soon as the intonation is holding go for it! Especially with bass strings.
