ahhh as always people 100% divided, ......... good stuff they must be doing summin right.........

my tuppence worth.................... defo the best album released this year so far.........the only album i can see even getting close to it, is hypnotize..... ;) but we'll see.....who can believe we are already halfway through this year !!!

stand out tracks : violent pornography, this cocaine makes me feel like i'm on this song, and radio/video

lyrically, i think they still got it..........not as cutting as previous stuff..........but hell 5 albums in 7 years is pretty serious output, that they stay this awesome on every one is pretty good going.........

Well said man. Violent Pornography pre-chorus riff is just so GUTSY - Bet ya Nabisco, Betch didn't no? Awesome. Its a great album and true to form their songs only last a 2-3 mins!

Personally I like Malokian and Serg's harmonies. Its great to see a `new' generational metal band willing to mix melody with some good ol agression and not become a sell out. I have always found their lyrics to have so many hidden meanings and innuendos are rather witty (oh tally ho eh chaps... ahem!) :wave:

Also to those who class these guys with Linkin Park, Korn and co, think again. They are SO NOT (not not not!) Nu Metal.

Anyway each to their own, not everyone has taste :D . These guys are my new FNM.

totally.......... they do things different, its never just standard verse chorus verse, the rythyms daron and john throw off each other as well are just killer, they can crush, they can bounce they can do pop......serj's voice is so under rated, that dude has serious range... you say they are your new fnm, and i can see why, fnm werent bound by any constraints, neither are system.......with no mr bungle around either, least they dare to be different ( which is pretty much the main reason they get slated).......great musicians playing great music...........to lump em in with nu metal just cos they are huge now is sooooooooo wrong........they aint even close to "nu"... ( note system of a down are STILL huge......... nu metal is dead on its ass thank fuck......... see last albums from linkin park , papa roach, alien ant farm, disturbed etc etc etc..........even the deftones never made the cut ;)
 
Lokey, just so you know, Disturbed's latest album hit #1 on the Billboard chart, so maybe they were a bad choice to add to the list of "dead nu-metal bands". Now when their next album flops, and it probably will, then you can feel free to call them dead!

I am really gonna have to check out this COC album. The last one I bought was "Blind". I loved Dance of the Dead, and Vote With A Bullet. :headbang:

Saw them a month ago with Motorhead, what a show! :headbang: A little on the short side because they weren't the headliner (of course, it was made up for by the fact that Motorhead put on a great show, too), but they played the 3 best ones off the new album, and they made my year when I got to see them play Fuel live as their second last of the night (my favorite song, all-time, any band)...fuckin moshed my ass off til I was sore on that one song alone. :headbang:

Sweet!! The show is at this tiny little bar(Ten Bells) too, so it makes it that much more kickass. My buddy that is going with me has never seen C.O.C either(it will be my fifth time seeing them) so he is going to be in for a treat. :kickass: :devil:
