New To-Mera track (Brett)

This sounds really good! Even in myspace. Kinda neat blending of technical riffing with female vocals- you don't hear that often. Almost always it's really simple chording. Cool beans.

All I have to say is that Brett should be elevated to the level of those who give, not ask for advices around here. :D
Great work Brett, I'm amazed! :worship:
(not that I didn't expect it... ;) )

As for To-Mera - very interesting, mold-breaking stuff! :kickass:

Cheers guys :)

I guess Brett will be back at some point to give the main details (I believe he took pictures of the various set-ups too).

The guitars were re-amped through a new Mesa amp / cab that Brett bought while in Hungary. As for the rest you'll have to ask the baldy. :)

Hey guys thanks a lot for all the great comments this is really cool :)
I'll post some details on everything later as I'm actually on location to record another album for a french band this time and will be home in two weeks. Just post your questions here and keep this thread up in the list so that I don't forget when I get home ;)
Cheers ! \m/

I have some time here tonight... So the equipement used for the recording :

* Recording gear
- HP Pavilion laptop
- RME Fireface and RME Octamic-D

* Drums
- Kick : Sennheiser e602, sample slightly blended in for extra click (75% natural)
- Snare : SM57 top, Rode NT1000 bottom, sample slightly blended in for consistency (75% natural)
- Toms 1, 2 and 3 : SM57
- Tom 4 : Audio-Technica AT2020
- HH & Ride : Rode NT5
- Overheads : AKG C451s
- Trigs : Roland RT-3T for Toms and Snare (didn't use the toms except on a bit in one song where the bleeding in the tom 3 mic was unbearable), Yamaha DT-10 for the kick.

* Guitars
- Electric : Ibanez UV777BK -> Ibanez TS-9DX -> Mesa Rectifier Recording Preamp -> Mesa 2:100 power amp -> Mesa 4x12 cab (bought in France, but called from Hungary to order it, hence the confusion) -> SM57
4 rhythm tracks
- Clean : Hamer something direct in
- Steel Acoustic : AKG C451 + Studio Project C1
- Nylon Acoustic : AKG C451s

* Bass
- 5 strings Ibanez SDGR (is it ?) direct

* Vocals
- Studio Project C1, doubled except on acoustic bits

* Keyboards
- Yamaha Motif Rack
- Some samples and VSTis of mine

* Violin
- AKG C451 (I think)

* Citera and percussions
- AKG C451s (yes I love them ! :))

Mixed on a brand new Quad G5 PowerMac in an insanely short time.

Some pictures were available here : http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240262

Some more will come some day I guess, but I think that's it.

Cheers,

Brett

Very impressed with the production and the band. I somehow didn't see this thread for a few days here. Absolutely amazing stuff, everything sounds fantastic and the playing is some of the best I've heard!
