New to Recording

Im a complete newb. I got into recording a few weeks ago through this forum and have learned a lot from you guys. Does anyone know of a really good book to teach the basics of recording.

Also, Amazon (used and new) is a great source because of the linking/recommendation system they have. I cannot really recommend any one specific book, because you will learn something from every book you read.

Also, consider subscribing to a couple of mags, too. EQ, Mix, Electronic Musician, etc...
 
Good way is to just get in touch with some local studio owners and ask if they wouldn't mind if you just sat in on some sessions.

I never expected that level of generosity but I've already been invited to more than 4 different studios just to sit in and watch.
 
One of the best resources is at your finger tips......there are about 4-5 forums that have sooooooooOOOOoooo much info to offer up.....
